WHY 757?
Before Studio 757 became a recording studio, it was simply a house, a dream, and a number on the door.
It’s Actually A Pretty Simple Story.
There wasn’t a big branding meeting. No marketing agency. No carefully engineered name.
The house was numbered 757.
And in 2008, that was enough.
Before Studio 757 The Music Came First
My journey started years earlier, making music in my bedroom with a beginner program called Techno eJay.
Around the same time, I was playing drums in a heavy metal band called Bloodroot in the Florida Keys. The band eventually signed with Smokehouse Records and released our album A Disturbing Creation.
Like a lot of young musicians, we depended on recording studios to capture our music. We didn't have unlimited money, and we didn't always get the results we were hoping for.
Learning The Craft More Than Just Playing Music
That experience made me want to understand the entire process myself — not just how to play the music, but how to record, engineer, mix, and produce it.
I eventually attended the Audio Recording Technical Institute (ARTI) to study audio engineering and music production.
But after school, I ended up working regular jobs for several years.
The Turning Point What If I Built My Own?
Eventually, I had a pretty simple realization:
What would happen if I spent my time building my own dream instead of somebody else’s?
So I took the equipment I had invested in, built a serious home recording setup, and decided to give it a shot.
Professional home recording studio — $20 an hour!
And Then Came The Name Why 757?
All I needed was a name.
The house number was 757.
So...
Studio 757.
That was it.
The First Test Then People Started Showing Up
At the time, home studios weren't quite as common as they are today. Most artists were used to walking into commercial studios with big signs, waiting rooms, and expensive hourly rates.
I remember one of the early clients actually pulled up to the house, realized it was a home, and almost left.
Then he came inside.
He saw the equipment. We recorded his vocals. He heard the result.
And he stayed.
One Session At A Time From Home Studio To Studio 757
Word slowly started getting around.
One session became another. One artist brought another artist. What started as a small home studio built for my own music and my band gradually became a place where other artists could create.
Over the years, Studio 757 grew into a professional recording, mixing, mastering, and production studio serving artists locally and internationally.
More Than A Number
The name stayed even as everything around it evolved. The equipment changed. The music changed. The artists changed. The studio grew.
What 757 Means Today
Studio 757 was built around the idea that you don't need a giant commercial facility or an unlimited budget to make great music.
You need the right people, the right tools, attention to detail, and someone who genuinely cares about the record.
That's what 757 has represented from the beginning.
It Isn't Just A Number.
It's the address where an idea
became a business.
It's where I started taking music seriously as a career. And it's still the name on the door today.
Come Make Something.
